Vacancy for Class Teacher
Class Teacher, September 2016
The school opened in September 2012 - the first Steiner Free School in England and the second state-funded Steiner school in the UK. We are now in our fourth year as a school and our second year in Frome, alongside the park, perched above the town.
Frome itself is situated in a very attractive and interesting pocket of the south-west, on the edge of the Mendips, just 12 miles south of Bath and 15 miles east from Wells and Glastonbury.
This year, we have 235 pupils on the school’s roll, from Kindergarten to Class 6, and our classes are full.
We seek an enthusiastic, energetic and talented colleague to join us on the road and take up the task of Class Teacher beginning in September 2016.
The successful applicant will be a competent and adaptable person, suitably qualified and ready to join a strong team of able, gifted and resilient colleagues. We welcome interest from teachers looking to translate outstanding potential into successful teaching, as well as from more experienced practitioners.
The full time starting salary is £27,050 p.a., with access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. If you would like to have a talk about the post, please ring the Principal on 01373 832804. A job description and an application form are available from firstname.lastname@example.org
The closing date for application forms is Monday, 22nd February, 2016. Interviews will be held in the first half of March.
The Steiner Academy Frome wishes to employ staff who are caring and will uphold the ethos and curriculum of the Academy. To support this, the Academy takes into account the guidance issued by the DfE "Keeping children safe in education" April 2014 and "Working together to Safeguard Children 2013"
