Class Teachers, September 2017
The school opened in September 2012 - the first Steiner Free School in England and the second state-funded Steiner school in the UK. We are now in our fifth year as a school and our third year in Frome. The school is perched above the town and sits alongside the park.
Frome itself is situated in a very attractive and interesting pocket of the south-west, on the edge of the Mendips, just 12 miles south of Bath and 15 miles east from Wells and Glastonbury.
This year, we have 286 pupils on the school’s roll, from Kindergarten to Class 7, and our classes are full.
As we continue to grow, our six kindergartens now have over 100 children on their books and just over 50 of these will make the journey into our two Class 1s next autumn. And so, we seek two enthusiastic, energetic and talented colleagues to join us on the road and take up the task of Class Teachers beginning in September 2017.
The successful applicants will be competent and adaptable, suitably qualified and ready to join a strong team of able, gifted and resilient colleagues. We welcome interest from teachers looking to translate outstanding potential into successful teaching, as well as from more experienced practitioners.
The full time starting salary is £27,050 p.a., with access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and a health-care scheme. If you would like to have a talk about the post, please ring the Principal on 01373 832804. A job description and an application form are available from firstname.lastname@example.org
The closing date for application forms is Friday, 17th February, 2017. Invitations to interview will be sent out in the week commencing February 20th. Interviews will take place in the week commencing February 27th.
We’re committed to safeguarding children and expect all applicants to share this commitment. We follow safer recruitment procedures and any post is subject to background checks, including references and enhanced DBS checks.
