We are seeking General Teaching Assistants for September 2017


Relevant qualities, skills and experience: 

  • Warm, kind, considerate, outgoing personality.
  • Flexible, methodical, reliable, work with initiative, GSH, quick to learn.
  • Experience of working with children, either paid or a voluntary capacity in school.
  • Knowledge of the principles of Steiner Waldorf education would be an advantage.

 Main Duties: 

  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of the Steiner Waldorf Curriculum.
  • Participate in general school activities including break and lunch-time duties, sports day, school visits etc. as required.
  • Assist with movement of pupils around the building and surrounding areas and with activities away from the classroom, both within and outside lesson time.
  • Be aware of and promote pupil’s general welfare and follow the school’s health and safety procedures.
  • Provide feedback about the pupils to the teacher.
  • Carry out other duties as directed by the teacher, line manager or Principal.


Start date 1st September 2017

Hours: a range of hours are available – to discuss at interview

Salary £17,218 FTE
